Hi there! My name is Autumn Dark, I am a concept and visual development artist in the Hilton Head area. I am a multimedia artist, able to work traditionally or digitally. I have a deep appreciation and love for art history, mythology, folklore, and anthropology. As a result, I emphasize research, theming, and detail in my work to create pieces and designs that are magical and immersive, exploring the depths of storytelling across cultures. I want to use my art to create new worlds and characters but also honor the narratives and characters of the past that have inspired art for generations, and invite viewers to see the echoes of old legends in a new light.
I have always been interested in art from a young age. It started as an interest in the history of the arts and humanities, I studied everything from literature to mythology to philosophy, until it eventually bloomed into much more. I was raised in a military family, born in San Diego, raised in southeast Virginia, and now live in the southeast. I come from a family of artists, but I am the first in my family with the opportunity and privilege to pursue art as my passion and career.
